Gallery Plug-in, Please help find one

I am looking for a plug-in that adds some functionality to the built in photo gallery system within WordPress. I have a blog that I use gallery for a lot of my posts (with 400 posts) but it is a real pain for viewing the site as you have to click one image, hit the back button, and click another image. I would like to have ability to use the right arrow or some way to advance to the next image in the post.

It is very important it uses the built in gallery or at least handles the conversion as I have hundreds of posts and I don’t want to manually switch each post to a new format. I haven’t been able to find a plug-in that does this, right now it is kind of a mess as a typically post is 4-20 images for this blog.
