• I’m looking to create a grid-based photo gallery but with a very specific feature. When a user clicks on a image, I want that grid to increase in size in place rather than opening a new, separate lightbox. I want to have information regarding the image listed below the photo. I want it to be a very fluid experience, not clicking on an image and then clicking off the lightbox to see the entire grid again.

That’s the short term goal. A longer goal is to create a page that, when an image is selected, will highlight the image in a lightbox off to the right-hand side, with all the necessary information listed below. Also, a handful of “related/similar” images would be listed below that.

Here’s a Photoshop mockup of what I have imagined: https://i.imgur.com/ieWq9PD.png

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @clintau24 , awesome work so far!
Check out Essential Grid plugin, should be able to give you the effect you want. You can also edit the features you want from the plugin setting.
I’ve used it for quite a while on some of my client projects.
