Gallery post format

    Hi, Im new to wordpress and try to use scrawl theme for my web.

    I try to make a post to look like this one (with jcarousel and caption), https://scrawldemo.wordpress.com/2011/07/07/bold-color/

    I can do it in wordpress.com by creating media gallery, then change the type option in gallery setting. But I cant find the option in self-hosted theme. Is it only available in wordpress, or the use different way?

  • The page you linked to has nothing to do with post format. It’s actually a Tiled Gallery along with Gallery Carousel, both are features of Jetpack plugin.

    Jetpack plugin is available for self-hosted WordPress, so you can install Jetpack and use that features. There are also plugins that offers those functionality without using Jetpack.

    Thanks for the reply. I think the features is ready in the theme before, so I don’t think the possibilities of using plugin.

    As Paul mentioned, the Tiled Galleries and Carousel features require the Jetpack plugin to use on self-hosted sites; they are built into WordPress.com.
