    Hello,

I just installed nextgen on a new version of a site, and copied over the galleries. The galleries display fine (thumbnail grid), but the album view doesn’t show the thumbnails.

I look at the source it is trying to load from, and it comes up blank.

    Instead of:
    https://example.com/wp-content/gallery/gallery-name/dynamic/DSC_0178-nggid042759-ngg0dyn-250x285-00f0w010c011r110f110r010t010.JPG

which worked fine on the old site, it is now trying to load:
    https://example.com/nextgen-image/2759/91x68/crop/a32f84b2ca25d528182dd54a02681496
    Which comes up blank.

I’ve looked through settings to try to find something that might be related to this, but haven’t come across anything. And when I try to search /nextgen-image/ nothing useful comes up for this issue.

    Any help is appreciated.

@idesignco – Have you tried using the Reset Option under Gallery > Other Options and/or clearing the image cache under Gallery > Other Options > Miscellaneous? This will generally sort out migration issues such as this.

    Thanks!

@photocrati – Just tried both of those to no avail. The galleries load fine, but the URL that the albums are trying to load as their thumbnails is not. And it’s completely different than any other url the galleries use.

Any ideas where the /nextgen-image/2759/91x68/crop/a32f84b2ca25d528182dd54a02681496 URL is coming from? None of the galleries use a similar structure for their thumbnails or images. And the old site used a different URL than both the galleries and this new one for the album thumbnails.

I’ve yet to come across a setting to configure this.

    Thanks!

@photocrati – solved it. when the galleries were moved over, they somehow ended up with root:root as owner:group. That was keeping the plugin from generating the proper image for the previews.

    Thanks!
