    Hello all,

That’s maybe an old story, but it’s urgently for me. I write articles with galleries like https://galerie.blackseals.net/feed/. The gallery should also be included on RSS Feeds – it’s also Ok for me, if there is only one picture with link to article or simular. All is better than showing nothing. If there is no gallery, people are thinking, the website is faulty.

I’m back to 1.9.x because I want/need that feature. With the newest version, a gallery isn’t rendered in RSS Feeds.
Some older 2.0.x had that function too, but I had to much problems with it (write some support questions). However, the newest version works without problems, but the RSS rendering feature is disabled.

Is it possible to enable the old function even in the newest plugin version? If not, will be there some simular fuction in near future?

I’m thinking about some different solution for me, but that’s an different questions with extra Topic: Showing description with gallery.
By the way, it’s also no big problem, if that function will be only available in one of the paid versions.

    best regards
    Andyt

@andyt8 – This option has been re-introduced into our latest internal beta and we expect to have it as part of our next major release as well.

    Hello Cais,

That sounds fantastic. Is there an approximate release date?

@andyt8 – We are testing an internal beta that has the code implemented (as far as I can tell it appears to be working as expected but I haven’t thoroughly tested it myself, yet).

We hope to have this out soon but there are a few external issues that we are working on that will affect the release date.

If you are interested in testing the beta please let us know. Send us a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) referencing the RSS issue you are wanting to test and we should be able to release the beta to you.

Just remember, please ensure you have a fully verified back up of your entire site before installing any beta software.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the answer. I already sent a Bug Report and will try the Beta Version.

At the moment I’m still on 1.9.13. For Upgrade process, should I update to latest 2.0.x or directly to Beta Version?

    regards, Andyt

@andyt8 – I would suggest a test site to update to the current version of NextGEN Gallery first (or have a complete verified full back of the site to restore) as we are no longer recommending rolling back to NextGEN Legacy versions once you update to the current version.

I will be responding to your Bug Report shortly.

    Hello,

    Thanks for the test facility.

If I have seen correctly, the feature is also available in the latest official version. At least the function works even after the update – so the problem is resolved for me.
