Gallery tag: link option is useless

  • I have recently set up a new website, all up to date and a fairly basic wordpress. The problem I have that when adding a gallery, the ‘link’ tag seems to have no effect and the links associated to an image always point to the medium-size thumbnail. A scan of my theme settings and the two plugins I use on gallery-related bugs turned up nothing. Any idea what might be the cause and solution?

  • Have you deactived the plugins? And what about your functions.php?

    I didn’t touch anything in the functions.php (I have the Atahualpa theme). I havn’t deactivated the plugins yet, but none of them are related to images or have this effect in another WordPress installation I have, or turned up this problem with a google-search.

    try to deactivate plugins and use the standard theme, as a first thing
