  • Hi @andywood,

    Thanks for reaching out! ??

Our developers are already working on a fix for this issue. We definitely appreciate your understanding in the meantime. Is there anything else that I can do for you at this time?

Thank you for your quick reply Jamzth.

Any ideas what the time frame is for this fix? Thanks again.

I am experiencing the same issue the same problem after updating to Version 1.6.1.

Portrait thumbnails are displaying in landscape mode, which causes them to distort.

Is there any update on when this will be fixed?

    Thanks.

I am experiencing the same issue too.
The same problem after last update.
    Any news on this?

    Hi @andywood and all,

Thanks for your patience. This thread slipped through the cracks. As this was addressed in the most recent update. If you are still experiencing this issue, would you mind submitting a ticket at https://enviragallery.com/contact? We’d like to look into things a little closer.

    Thanks!

I’m using Version: 1.6.1 of the Envira Lite plugin. It is not fixed. Is there a more recent version than Version: 1.6.1?

I cannot submit a ticket at https://enviragallery.com/contact because I am using the free version.

I really need this to be fixed.

    Thank you.

    Hi @jamzth

Thank you for following up on this thread. I have since changed plugins (I needed a quick fix), but glad to hear you are addressing this issue.

As noted in my first post in this thread, I did have the latest version (1.6.1), so perhaps there is more to address than what was done in that update.

Best of luck and thanks again.

    Andy

Okay. It looks like if you leave the “Column” setting to the default “Automatic,” it will force portrait thumbnails into landscape size.

Not sure if you want it to work this way (I would think not), but you have to set a specific number of thumbnail columns to avoid this issue.

Hi. I’m also an Envira Lite user and so cannot submit a ticket. My issue is that my Lightbox thumbnails are set to crop to a fixed size (200 x 200). This still works in the default language, but in the alternative language the cropping doesn’t happen.

This specific issue is mentioned in other threads (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/qtranslate-x-conflict/ and https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/conflict-with-envira-gallery-1/) and is claimed to be fixed, but still occurs – don’t know if it’s specific to my site.

Both plugins are fully updated. The site is holidaysinlagrasse.com

I’ve tried the Column setting in ‘Automatic’ as suggested by dby3000, but it distorts the images.

Any help would be much appreciated, especially as the issue is thought to be fixed. One thread suggests a solution here :
    https://qtranslate-x.com/support/index.php?topic=458
but the support site is down.

    Many thanks

    David

This was fixed for one release but it’s broken again.

Whether you leave the default “Automatic” column setting or set it to a specific number of columns, it forces portrait thumbnails into landscape dimensions.

It’s strange because old galleries are not affected by the problem; only new galleries.

    Hi guys,

Any movement on the thumbnails issue? I’m a big fan of Envira and don’t want to change, but I do need a fix ASAP, or at least some news please. With all the talk of fixes in updates, I want to know people still see that there’s a problem here and are looking for a fix.

    Cheers
    David

    David,

This has gone back and forth between being broken and fixed. I’m running Version 1.6.1.4 and this is what I’m currently experiencing:

If I leave the “Number of Gallery Columns” in the default “Automatic” setting, the thumbnails will be distorted. If I manually choose a column number (e.g. “Three Columns (3)”) then the thumbnails display correctly and proportionately.

    Hope that helps.
