No answer I gather. I see you have several threads here that you just ignore. That kinda sucks chunky rocks. Any answer is better than being ignored, folks.

@PDJN Support – Yes, I see there is an issue with your album preview images … have you set them specifically to any image?

Is there a conflict with another plugin that may be stopping the thumbnails from being displayed?

If those troubleshooting ideas do not help you sort out the issue you are seeing, please feel free to submit a Bug Report (https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) and include a set of log in and FTP credentials for us to have a closer look at your site so we can help you sort out the issues on your site.

    Thanks!

    Thanks for a reply.

Yes, they are set to a specific image.

No, There is no plugin conflict we know of.

And, no, we do not wish to submit a bug report or have you help us “sort out the issues on our site”…. Our site works splendidly. We simply want to know where we can specifically modify your code to eliminate the gallery thumbs displayed in Album view. If you cannot or will not share that info, we will simply find another way to manage our image galleries.

    Thx. -GMN

@photocrati – BTW, is there any advantage to, or good reason for, adding the “@username” when utilizing these forums? Thx.

How about adding dispay:none; to the stylesheet for the gallery class ngg-albumcontent?

    Plugin Contributor photocrati

    (@photocrati)

@PDJN Support – As a matter of direct response is the primary reason I use the “@username” reference … it also has the added benefit, if your account profile is complete, of sending an email out to the @username to let them know they have been mentioned.

For example, if you respond to @cais (me personally, as that is my actual WordPress profile name) I will get an email directly whereas if you respond to @photocrati an email will go to one of our general support account emails.

As to not wanting to submit a Bug Report nor wanting to accept our help looking under the page of your site we completely respect that and will leave you to sorting out the issue you are trying to resolve.

@wooijen – Thanks for the suggestion.

@photocrati – Thanks for the info, but not much help otherwise. FYI, Those of us who are developing our skills want answers so we can learn as we do things ourselves, we cringe at giving out FTP creds so someone else can “fix” the problem.

@wooijen – Thanks for the suggestion friend, will give it a shot. ??

@wooijen – Do you know the location of the specific CSS file? Looking through all the stylesheets we can find so far, we were unable to locate the gallery class ngg-albumcontent. Thx.

    (@pdjn-support)

@wooijen – We were able to use the legacy stylesheet to manually implement this fix (making the file writable and using the admin option did not work). Problem is, it also eliminates the description, which we’d like to keep. Any ideas? Thanks for your time.

    Thread Starter PDJN Support

    (@pdjn-support)

@wooijen – Solved. Using your original suggestion, we found the styling for the Album/Gallery thumbnails and set both to display:none; in the legacy stylesheet. Thanks again for your suggestion!

@PDJN Support – You’re more than welcome. What version of Nextgen are you running now? The 2.X or the legacy version?

    Plugin Contributor photocrati

    (@photocrati)

@PDJN Support – The FTP credentials are rarely used to “fix” an issue … unless the end-user has specifically requested we fix something immediately once a solution is sorted out.

More often than not, we would use the FTP credentials to validate the folder structure, ensure the files are not corrupted (both plugin and images where possible), as well as check file/folder permissions.

Log in credentials are more to verify the issue if we are not able to re-create what is being described … as well as to check the various settings and other relevant data that a lot of end-users simply do not include.

We really appreciate those end-users that are able to sort out the issues on their own and share the solutions with the community as well.

@wooijen – We are using the latest version. Code added to the included legacy css file (Path: nextgen-gallery; products; photocrati_nextgen; modules; ngglegacy; css; nggallery.css) overides other stylings in the plugin’s architecture, but from our experience this has to be done manually. The option provided in NextGen’s admin fails to retain code even if said file is made writable. Thanks again!

@cais – You threw a lot of words into this thread dude, none of which were very helpful. One simple suggestion from wooijen was worth more to us than all your blah, blah, blah. We’re glad you appreciate those of us who solve your plugin’s issues, but please don’t waste your time adding more to this thread, we’re done here. ?

@PDJN Support – I’m glad you have your issue sorted out; and, if I “threw a lot of words into this thread” it was only to open lines of communication … which you chose to shut down.

All the same, please feel free to seek out our help anytime you may have need for it.

    Thanks!
