Gallery will not link to outside pages

I have created a gallery of images and need them to link to external pages. It is different recommendations of products but when I go to link it to the website it can be purchased at and click the image, it links to just a larger photo no webpage. I have downloaded the plugin and added the website so I am confused as to why it isnt linking when all of the information is present. PLEASE HELP!
