• So I’ve recently moved from .com to .org, and I have a few questions:

    1) How does the site look? Any constructive criticism is appreciated
    2) I’ve stopped web crawlers from accessing my .com blog. How long will it take for said crawlers to find the new site? I’ve submitted a sitemap to google, got the SEO optimization plugin, submitted the blog to multiple directories. Anything else I should do?
    3) If anybody here is a PC gamer, and if you’re interested in writing for me contact me ??

    Thank you.

    Thanks!

    Good looking site!

    1. Here are my first impressions:

    – Finish populating your articles with pics so your summaries no longer have “thumbnail” labels.

    – Looks like you have a lot of content but no PR an unranked Alexa. That means you should probably work on the promotional side of your site so you can get some quality traffic.

    2. Crawlers can get out there pretty quick, usually within a few hours at the latest. If you want to make sure, just go to ping-o-matic.com.

    3. No doubt you may drum up some interest but since you don’t have traction yet, you should be offering to write for others instead. Guest post on other sites that get more traffic and get your backlink to your site.

Thank you very much for those tips Gabe!

I also have another question, how long does it take to get indexed?

I’ve submitted the site to google but https://ismyblogworking.com/ is still showing that the site is not getting indexed.

I answered that in number 2. Try the site I gave you.

Hi Gabe, I already done that but it’s already been 5 days and I’m still not properly indexed. Getting 0 traffic from search engine terms, even my old site is still getting more hits :/.

That sounds like an issue of it being a new website. Because its so new, its not getting ranked high. I’d say go out and do some advertising.

However I’d love to just make a website and instantly get tons of hits without doing too much. Wish it worked like that ??

    Heh, wouldn’t we all.

The only reason I was asking this is because the old one hosted at wordpress.com got indexed faster than the current one, so I was worried that I may have done something wrong or have missed something (since 90% of everything was handled by wordpress).
