• Hi,

To my UNpleasant surprise I discovered that W3TC cached files are never being cleaned up. As a result our automatic backups to Amazon S3 were rising above 40 GB per night. Yes, 40 GigaBytes!

After manually deleting everything in the cache directory, the backup size was back to normal, which is, in our case around 1.7 GB.

a Day after that, the backup size grew to 4 GB and a couple of days later, it was 20GB again.

So I want to know if it’s safe to just empty the cache directory every day before the backup starts? If yes, we’ll have to create a cron job that does this job automatically.

    Please advice.
    Maurice
