Garbled Text

  • Hi… I’m running WP 0.72 Beta and seems that I can login and post. The only thing is when I try load up the index.php file, it results in garbled text. Garbled meaning it’s got chinese characters… and funky shapes. Can anybody help?
    I’ve tried renaming index.php to index2.php and other things, but the output remains the same. When I view source, it doesn’t spew out html either… only garbled text.

  • Could this be to do with the $use_gzipcompression setting at the top of blog.header.php?
    Try setting that to 0 (zero) to see whether that fixes it for you.
