    On the individual gateway settings page, I am getting a strange occurence of frontslash being added to the comment section underneath the email area for Paypal account. This means that the default url for displaying Paypal image is being corrupted.

    This only happens when I try to insert my email for Paypal, as the blank area for account paypal needs to be filled however, this causes the corruption.

    just to confirm, can I know what is your current EM and EMpro version please?

    Pro 2.3.9 and latest wordpress version. Bear in mind that I have had this problem almost since the beginning (5 years ago) but it didn’t bother me since I used Gateway buttons instead of default drop down choice bar.

    I would now like to use the default settings but the image that is linked to on the entire area underneath where you set the settings for PayPal gets corrupted very I click save.

    Wherever there is a ” the system adds a \ so a URL won’t work and the height and width selectors get additional forward slashes for every quotation mark used.

    In the later versions of the Pro plugin this issue is fixed. If you can’t upgrade you’d need to manually remove the additional slashes before saving.

    Everytime i Save the settings, it puts the slashes back again…how do I fix this?

    another way is to use https://YourDomain.com/wp-admin/options.php then search for option name with prefix em_paypal_

    It sounds like you are trying to help me but I have no idea how to use options.php I am only used to editing theme files.

    Is this something you can explain a little more about?

    Thank you so much. I learnt something new tonight. I didnt know that worpdress stored an archive of all the settings. IS there any reason to be concerned if there are redunt settings or excessive quantity of settings being stored, as I have changed my site many many times…

    Unfortunately this didnt work. Em still corrupts the setting with a \ where ever there are “…

    In later versions of the Pro plugin this issue is fixed. If you can’t upgrade you’d need to manually remove the additional slashes under Events > Payment Gateways > PayPal before saving.
