GD Star Rating – can't get rid of top rating

We switched from a dev site to a live site with the usual issues and now everything basically works except for the GD Star system.

If I have it set to show only on the bottom, I still get stars on top and bottom. If I set it to show on top and bottom, I get two sets of stars on top and one at the bottom (all three sets showing the same ratings.)

Now, I am also using a plugin that inserts page contents into other pages. This is for menu systems and whatnot. For each of those pages I have all the GD star options set to locked and hidden (there’s a menu/widget box on the page admin screen.) Is this the right way to hide the stars?

Thanks for any help. We like using GD stars so want to get this working.

If there is another rating system out there with options to hide on certain pages, I could switch to that one, but I haven’t found one that offers that option yet.
