When I load the page document doesn’t show and gives me the above error message. Whether this is an easy fix or a hard one I am stumped on it and need any assistance possible.

If there is a previous support issue that has this issue resolved please feel free to redirect me.

  • Hi adrian,

This is probably easy enough to explain, but I don’t have enough info here to give you a definitive answer. In general it means that Google can’t reach the document URL you’ve provided. That could mean that the link is actually incorrect, or that it’s hosted somewhere Google can’t access (such as local dev environment). These are the most likely explanations.

If you need help with a specific document, please post a URL here or using the “Support” tab in GDE Settings to mail me directly. Thanks!

Have you solved the problem? Because I not. Please post the solution if you have a one.

    rulo,

I’ve answered above as much as possible without specific information. If you’re still having a problem, please describe the problem you’re having and give a link so we can see it. I’m happy then to provide whatever further help you need.

    Kevin

Thanks for the answer. I tested the page on other server and it shows the PDF without problems. This is the page https://posgrado-fc.net23.net/posgrado-fc/?page_id=242

But I have another problem, the plugin is not saving my configuration.
Here you can see the problem https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/plugin-google-doc-embedder-19-gde-settings-not-save-options?replies=8
In that post, gadgetto said “The problem is the global variable $options is also used by many other plugins and therefore there is an interference. I replaced all occurrences of this variable with $gdeoptions in the files “gviewer.php” and “options.php” and now it works as expected!” But my files gviewer and options already have $gdeoptions instead of $options.

If you want, I give you my user and password.

    rulo,

I haven’t seen a problem with saving settings for a long time, and that old solution as you noticed no longer applies. Does it give you some kind of error message, or how does it behave?

I’m happy to look at your install myself if you wish; please contact me using the support tab in GDE Settings and I can follow up privately.

    Thanks,

    Kevin
