• Hello,

I am interetsed in using this to monitor my sites. How GDPR complient is this plugin?

Is there an option to anynomize personal data and are all the antries hashed in the database?

    Thank you, regards

  • Thank you for showing interest in our plugin Julian.

The plugin is GDPR compatible; GDPR does not require you to anonymize personal data. GDPR requires you to specify to the user what you are doing with their data.

So if you are keeping an activity log on your website, it is your duty to advise the users that you are keeping an activity log of their actions.

The logs are stored in clear text in the database because they do not contain any data that is sensitive, the same way usernames, IP addresses and other metadata is saved in the WordPress database and in the web server log files.

I hope this helps. Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Have a great day.

    Thank you for the answer.

Would it be possible that you add an option to anonymize IPs or hash them in the database at least?

    Hello Julian,

I have added this as a feature request, however, I cannot promise you when it will be added at this stage.

I am sorry I couldn’t give you an answer that would solve your issue today. Should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

    Have a great day.
