There not be an update specific to this because the plugin can already be made to be in compliance. But it’s important to note that it’s not really the plugin that is compliant; whether you are in compliance or not depends entirely on what data you collect and how you interact with your users regarding their data.
It would be important to include a required field that users must indicate that they have reviewed your privacy policy and/or terms of service. But supplying that process is up to you.
Also, in just the default install, all information the plugin collects is available to the user via the user profile page. But because the plugin allows you to create “admin only” fields, then whether your data collection is compliant depends on how you use the plugin.
