• With GDPR looming, I’ve installed a cookie-blocking plugin (WeePie Cookie Allow) to prevent my website loading cookies until a user has given permission. Unfortunately GADWP is overriding the plugin and placing a Google Analytics cookies on visitors’ browsers when they land on my home page. How can I prevent this happening until they have explicitly given permission for cookies?

Okay, let me ask a more specific question in the hope of getting some help. Which piece of code places the _ga, _gat, _gid cookies when a visitor lands on a website with GADWP installed? I really appreciate some advice here. Thanks.

I ran into the same problem. I installed Cookiebot and GADWP, but due to the latter cookies are still placed at visitor’s computer without prior consent.
Please do you have a solution for this?

I discovered a way around this problem with WeePie Cookie Allow. If you get a copy I’d be happy to help you find the setting to resolve things.
