    Hello.

As the new too complicated GDPR law goes live in May 25th I wanted to ask you if there are plans to make the plugin compatible and add new features/settings to it concerning data collection from the users/visitors and also presenting that information to them in the frontend and options to opt-out if they wish.

Since the plugin is all about sending notifications, I’d like to hear your input on this because it concerns everyone I think.

    Please let me know.
    Thanks!

    Hi @catmaniax,
    Thanks for your message.

A good question. The good news is yes, it will be, but the bad news is that it’s not ready yet nor will it be for 25th May. My hope is that the below changes will appear this Summer though. I’m working my hardest to do this.

Although this could change, I plan to address this in two ways:

    1. Provide admins with the ability to exclude users from notifications within BNFW’s free plugin.
    2. Provide an entire user opt-in/opt-out system for notifications that users can manage themselves in the form of a Premium Add-on.

I have a few things left to address in May before releasing a small update to BNFW but after this, the above is all i’ll be working on until it’s finished.

    Hope this helps.

I see, I will be awaiting.

Please let me know when the GDPR update gets released and what has changed.

    Thank you ??

    Hi @catmaniax,

Best way to stay up to date is to sign up to the mailing list, which is completely GDPR compliant.
