GDPR Compliance?

    Hello!
    I am writing to you from Italy, here in Europe for some time now we have had quite “strict” privacy legislation (GDPR)

    I have noticed that the ChatBot does NOT ask for any data processing consent when it offers the possibility to send a message

    I think this is not perfectly compliant, is there a possibility to include a request for consent along with the link to the privacy policy before having the message sent?

    Hi,

    The Free version does not collect and save any user data.

    The Pro version does and the Pro version has an option to show a GDPR message.

    Ok but it allows you to send an email: that’s the problem!

    I have confirmation from the lawyer who follows my client that consent should be asked and the link to the privacy page shown before the message can be sent.

    Do you think it’s possible to integrate it?

    Please go to WoowBot Panel->Language center.

    You can add a GDPR message with this text:

    I am here to find you the product you need. What are you shopping for?

    You can also add a link with HTML code like 

    <a href=https://domain.com/privacy>Click Here</a>

    Ok I certainly thought about this option but there should really be a check like “I declare that I have read the privacy policy and give consent to the processing”

    I think the main GDPR notice on your site should cover this. It is just another contact form. Not sure why would it need a separate disclaimer. We will investigate this further also.

    I would say not to confuse cookie consent with that of forms for sending messages

    A good idea could be to convert the “send a message” action by redirecting to the contact page (where you can put the classic CF7)

    I tried to insert the notice with link via HTML code but as soon as I save, the HTML code is removed and only the plain text remains
