• Hi,

am I right in thinking that the plugin does not store any personal data in the wordpress data and does not send any data to third party servers?
Background to that question is the GDPR and if the plugin is compliant with it.

    Thank you!

This plugin makes no attempt to process or store any data about you outside of your own server.

What you store on your own servers using the software (as with any file editor) is entirely down to you. This plugin doesn’t send it anywhere and does no external processing whatsoever.

The plugin does interact with some remote APIs, including the WordPress API and the Loco API. Currently this is only for fetching information (like available languages), and doesn’t transmit any data for processing. Once GDPR is in effect this will be documented more thoroughly.

Note that anything that WordPress/Automattic does to track plugin/API usage is beyond my control and responsibility.

Hot off the press. Feedback welcome.

Also I’m looking to hook into the WordPress 4.9.6 privacy policy tools in the next release (2.1.4), although not essential as I don’t believe you need to include Loco Translate in your privacy notice to site visitors.
