Hi! I use Wordfence. In order to act as data protection compliant as possible according to the GDPR, I would like to conclude a contract for order processing. How is this possible? Do I have to do more in order to use Wordfence in line with the GDPR? Thanks so much, Nina

Hi @nigr, thanks for getting in touch.

Wordfence uses the revised EU Standard Contractual Clauses issued by the EU Commission on June 4, 2021 to lawfully transfer personal identifiable information between the EU and USA. You can find the data agreement here: https://www.wordfence.com/standard-contractual-clauses/ which replaces the original Data Processing Agreement contract that required signing – that is no longer valid.

Within the Standard Contractual Clauses, in the Appendix, Annex I, is the parties to the data agreement, namely the Customer (you) and Defiant, Inc. (who does business as Wordfence). By agreeing to the Terms of Service for Wordfence (https://www.wordfence.com/terms-of-service/), you are agreeing to the Standard Contractual Clauses describing how data will be transferred between the EU and USA.

I hope this helps you out.

    Thanks,

    Peter.
