Would it be possible to add an extra thick box to the form which the user can thick to give clear, unambiguous affirmative consent for the privacy policy for example?

    Hi,

From what I understood a simple checkbox is not enough. It needs to be something like this:

Which makes for a very large form.

We’ll look into it and if it can be as simple as a checkbox and a bit of text then we’ll definitely add that this week.

Just released the update, it adds a checkbox for the visitor to confirm the subscription and has a link to the privacy policy of the newsletter system provider. It’s on by default and can be disabled under “Form Options”.

Based on the research I’ve done that’s all that is needed to be GDPR compliant. But pretty much every article I’ve read made sure to point out that it’s not 100% definite information and is best to talk to a lawyer.

We’ll keep monitoring the situation and if other changes are needed we’ll implement them.

    Please let we know. Thanks

Where I download the Update, please?

Go to WP admin > Plugins, you’ll see the new version notification there, just click the update link.

    Hi,
it would be possible to add the possibility to modify the text related to the new checkbox?
    Thanks

Hi. Thank you for this excellent plug-in.

Please add an option the change the text, i need to put the text in spanish to avoid any confusion to my readers.

    Thank you!

    Hi,

We’ll add the option to change the text and release the update this week, most likely tomorrow. GDPR goes into effect on May 25th.
