Is there any way to disable the facebook pixel or integrate it with a cookie plugin. Currently the plugin is not GDPR compatible as it does not give the user the option to opt out of using the fb pixel, which means anyone in the EU cant use it.

  • Hey @charlesdonnison ,

Thank you very much for reaching out to us! Happy to help with your questions!

As you’ve mentioned, the tracking scripts related to the Facebook Pixel required by our plugin will always load even if a customer hasn’t specifically opted for them. Currently, there’s a custom way to change that by using a filter that disables the tracking scripts being loaded. The filter is: facebook_for_woocommerce_integration_pixel_enabled

If you’re looking for a specific setup, you can consider using the Cookie Notice for GDPR & CCPA plugin with a snippet we’ve created.

Before sharing the snippet, please be aware of a couple notes:

You can view the snippet here: https://gist.github.com/simonporter007/8b8374502430d330f00c28e398f42019

Is this something that would interest you?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best regards,

    Pit
