    Hello,

next month the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is coming into effect. As the protection of persanal data is the main reason of this law I need to know, if any personal data (such as the full IP or anonymous one) is transferred to you when a user is visting a wordpress site where e.g. the FooGallery is running.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Kind Regards from Germany
    Tom

    Hi Tom,

From our customer’s point of view (meaning you), we allow you to opt-in when you first install FooGallery on your site so that we can track your usage and provide a better service (send you update emails for new version releases etc). This is optional and not required in order to use the plugin.

From your site visitor’s point of view, FooGallery does not collect or store any visitor information at all.

    I hope that helps?

Perhaps you should make a statement about this on your plugin page.

@ajtruckle – i will be updating the plugin pages to mention this ASAP

    Hello,
on the official website https://foo.gallery/ I couldn’t find a privacy policy. I think it would be a good idea, if you provide one there also.

@media25berlin – we have added a privacy policy to the foo.gallery site

We have also updated the plugin page to mention GDPR

    Thank you!
