Hi, I’m getting my website ready for GDPR (the new EU privacy law), and your plugin—WP Forms Lite—is one that I use on my website. In order for me to accurately write my privacy policy, would you please answer the following?

    1. Does your plugin collect personally identifiable information (that includes IP addresses)?

    2. If so, what types of personally identifiable information does your plugin collect?

    3. For what purpose(s) does your plugin collect personally identifiable information?

    4. Does your plugin have a privacy policy that explains how you use my website visitors’ personally identifiable information?

    5. Do your plugin use cookies or collect various types of data-usage information?

    Thanks!

  • I have the same questions.
Need information regarding compliance with GDPR while using WP lite.

    Hi clocksaysnow and carolynwright,

Great questions, and I’d be happy to help clarify these details for you.

Our Lite version does not collect any “hidden” personal details about users who submit your forms (IP address, user agent details, etc), and it also doesn’t use any cookies. Just be sure you’re updated to the latest version, as some of these things have just been changed recently.

Additionally, our company doesn’t track, monitor, or collect your form entries in any way. We provide you total privacy with the forms you build and the entries you collect.

Hopefully this addresses all of your questions. However, we can’t guarantee compliance for any specific site. In all circumstances, we strongly recommend you consult directly with legal counsel familiar with the GDPR regulations to review your specific use of WPForms.

For more information on GDPR compliance in WPForms, here’s our doc on the subject. There, we discuss GDPR enhancements available within our plugin that can be optionally enabled (in our Lite and paid versions), as well as several additional suggestions.

    Hope this helps! ??
