Hi there! After trying to tackle the problem throughout several hours, I finally could isolate that the plugin GDPress causes my issue:

In my contact form I’ve got a Turnstile CAPTCHA. It works on most devices and browsers, but not on my firefox (latest update) on desktop. It won’t even show the turnstile box. It does work, however, after freshly deleting all the cookies, or when using private mode.

When disabling GDPRess in WordPress, turnstile works; after activating it again, turnstile doesn’t load. Form can’t be submitted.

I also get this message in the plugin settings: “Does not compute! GDPRess Bot experienced issues while scanning the website. If you’re certain your site contains 3rd party resources, try contacting my support human?

Did I miss something when setting up GDPRess? Is this a bug (as it works in most browsers)?

    Thankful for any help!

    Hi!

Could you enable GDPRess’ Test Mode? That’ll allow me to test the issue you’re experiencing, while regular visitors won’t see any of GDPRess’ optimizations.

Let me know when it’s done!

    Hey Daan,

    Test mode is already active!

One doubt I’ve got: When I ask the plugin to scan, it generates 2 scripts (plausible.autbound-links [can’t read full filename as it’s too long for the column] and api.js for Turnstile. I don’t know where it downloads it to (not to my download folder), and what I have to do with them. Seems somewhat important to me, but I couldn’t find a documentation on how to use this.

    Thank you!

Edit: One more thing, in the security report by Wordfence for my site it states, “The Plugin “GDPRess | Eliminate external requests to increase GDPR compliance” appears to be abandoned (updated September 5, 2022, tested to WP 5.9.10). https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/gdpr-press/#developers” Maybe have a look into this.

It’s not abandoned, but I agree it definitely deserves more of my time.

Seeing that the Turnstile’s JS is detected by the plugin, all you should have to do is check the Exclude box next to it. To make sure it isn’t processed by GDPRess. Have you done that yet?
