General Error

    I am getting the general error on all attempts to subscribe today. The form was working a few days ago.

    1. I have upgraded to the current plug-in version 3
    2. I have tried a new API key

    I started working on this 9am today (GMT+2) and then left it and tried again now at 2pm but still getting the error. No error number is given in the log.

    [2016-07-07 13:56:16] ERROR: Form 4884 > MailChimp API error:

    If I use the normal eepurl url link to the Mailchimp sign-up form that works fine.

    I have changed the error message from the original Oops… to Sorry…

    Hi,

    1. Renew the lists (under MailChimp for WP settings in the main screen.
    2. Check if a list is still selected for the form
    3. Check if all the required fields (as set up under that list in our MailChimp.com account) are added to the form.

    If that doesn’t help, try to generate a new API key in your MailChimp.com account and see if you can get a new key with a different number in the end of the key (different API server).

    Please let us know if that helps or not.

    I had tried that as part of the trouble-shooting process yesterday. It did not make a difference.

    I have tried the form again this morning and it is working! Yippee!

    Perhaps some technical gremlin was resolved during the USA daytime (my night-time).

    I see there is one or two other similar issues, without any resolution where the plug-in simply started working again. If anyone does find the cause, would be great to know.

    Hi,
    I just want to replace a mailchimp account with the new one. Changed the API and its connected. But while subscribing, general error is displaying and is not subscribed.
    Please help..
