After updating to 5.1.3 the plugin was suddenly deactivated. When I activated it, I was again able to access the settings. Now I have an error happening.

I go to general settings and try to add “adminstrator” and “editor” to the ignored users, then I click save. Instead of saving, I get the message that “There where no changes to save, please try again.” And it defaults to NO users being ignored.

Any help here would be much appreciated.

  • I’m seeing the same thing. I installed the Yoast WordPress SEO plugin today so not sure if this is related. It was only while experimenting with the SEO plugin that I noticed Google analytics was starting to register all my hits on the site even though I was logged in as an Administrator.

I checked the GA plugin and saw the Administrators were no longer listed in the Ignore Users field. When I tried adding them back I get the same error message that no changes have been made.

    Any ideas?

Same exact thing happening to me here too….

I waited a few days and tried again and this time it tells me that changes were saved, but it still doesn’t show me that Administrator and Editor are actually selected after the save. The ignore users field still shows up blank, so I’m not sure if the setting has actually been saved or not.

Same issue here. I retested on one of my sites still running 5.1.2 and it’s working fine there. 5.1.3 does not save this field it seems. A workaround or a new version would be much appreciated.

This was fixed in GA 5.1.4.
