• Hi,

For several months, I’ve experienced reduced performance in my WordPress installation. I can’t really remember when the performance issues started, but I like to think it started when I upgraded from the 2.0.x branch to 2.1.x. I’ve also upgraded to the latest version, but the performance issues remains.

This is what I’ve tried so far:

    • Fixing tables in the database (optimize, repair, analyze, etc.)
    • Running the default theme
    • Deactivated all the plugins
    • Running the queries directly in phpMyAdmin
    • Simple manual debugging of the code

I somewhat believe that the problem relies in the processing of data, since the same query that’s generated by WordPress runs a lot faster through phpMyAdmin.

I’ve ran out of ideas for further debugging, so any hints or tips would be highly appreciated. What is the best way to debug a WordPress installation?

My WordPress installation contains about 600 posts and 3000 comments. If neccessary, further information can be delivered. The installation is also visible on my website, https://www.bekkelund.net/.

    Best regards,
