    Hello geeky_girl01,
    Yes when you are working on your website, the plugin will show a coming soon page instead of website.
    Note: For maintenance mode and under construction there is a plugin available, https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/maintenance-mode-and-under-construction-page/ You can try this also.

    I was going to install the plugin: …responsive-coming-soon-page which is rated highly. Do you recommend using the plugin: ….maintenance-mode-and-under-construction-page instead?

    Hello geeky_girl01,
    if your site is in launching mode..i.e is is not launched and will be launching in upcoming time- you should use coming soon plugin.
    But if your site is already launched and it is in maintenance, you can use “maintenance mode and under construction” plugin.
    Your wish, you can use accordingly.
