General question about webhook for Stripe plugin..

The screenshots in the documentation are a little out of date and I have a question about the webhook in the stripe control panel.

Is there a particular screenshot in our Setup Guide that you that was out of date? I just checked over the WooCommerce and Stripe images that we are using on that page and they are all current.

Do you need to add the webhook to “Endpoints receiving events from your account” and “Endpoints receiving events from Connect applications” ?

You’ll want to go to the Webhooks Dashboard in your Stripe account. That can be found under the “Developer”, then click on “Webhooks”. Once there you’ll see the “Add Endpoint” button. Paste the URL that is shown to you on your WooCommerce site’s Stripe plugin settings page. It will ask you what event types to send, use the default of “Send all event types”.

I tested with and without the webhook and everything seemed to work fine. Is this essential? What notifications is it driving?

While you don’t technically require the webhook, we recommend it to all users as it does not cost you anything and it ensures you don’t have any issues with Stripe updating your site.
