  • I have the same problem, but I know what it’s from.

The Google API code used in this plugin is missing two pieces to avoid a conflict with other plugins that use the Google API.

“if(class_exists(“Class_Here”‘))” and “if(function_exists(“Function_Here”))” needed added to the Google API files.

It’s more complicated than that, believe me ??

Look here, I’m sure that you’ll figure it out: https://github.com/deconf/Google-Analytics-Dashboard-for-WP/blob/master/tools/gapi.php#L21

The only way is for all the plugins to use autoload (supported in the latest GAPI library) when possible (on some PHP versions is not).

Also, many developers use outdated libraries, which by the way, if I remember well, is against the TOS, but nobody cares, it seems … ??

The developer your plugin is conflicting with is WPMUdev.

We did double check and between the two they are using different versions of the Google API being used. I’m not sure what we’re going to do at this point as both plugins are imperative for our website.

Ask them to update to latest GAPI library version and to use autoloading, it’s nothing I can do about it.

I’ve contacted @wpmudev about this, I’m sure they will take action and fix it as soon as possible.

Hi @triplemoons, thanks for mentioning this. I’m part of the WPMU DEV team and would love to get this looked into.

Could you please contact us here though? https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact/

You can simply select, “I have another question”, then for the subject include “ATTN: David”.

We’ve got quite a lot of plugins so I’m hoping I can find out more from you on the specifics without tying up this forum thread. ??

Looking forward to hearing from you there!

    Thanks!
    David

Thank you Alin, for communicating with WPMUdev on the conflict with your plugin.

David, it’s pretty simple. Install Appointments+ and install Alin’s Google Analytics Dashboard for WP plugin and you’ll see their is a conflict revolving around the Google API that causes his General Settings page to not display.

@alin Marcu They have known about this issue since June and have still not updated it.

    really??

9 months later comes another user who wants to evaluate the software, installs the thing 5 times from scratch, no plugins, no nothing, cleanest install ever, still “general” doesn’t work. do you guys even test the software before releasing? In my team you get fired for releasing untested software. show some standards,. show some pride in your work….

let’s test Drupal. Can’t be worse that this…

@dante979, If you are talking about the ‘Google Analytics Dashboard for WP’ plugin as distributed on www.ads-software.com, please create a new thread here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/google-analytics-dashboard-for-wp#postform

From the terms you’ve used, I don’t think you’re using the free plugin.
