General Settings – Email Settings Test Email Not Working

    Test email function not working properly. I receive an error that:

    SMTP connect() failed. https://github.com/PHPMailer/PHPMailer/wiki/TroubleshootingSMTP server error: Failed to connect to server Additional SMTP info: php_network_getaddresses: getaddrinfo failed: Name or service not known

    Per the webhost there is no server side issue. I am able to send and receive emails from the listed email settings without issue. Please advise.

    I believe this is preventing password reset email from being sent for my website.

    Hello,

    It may happen if the SMTP credentials are wrongly configured. Kindly double-check the SMTP credentials and please make sure you have entered the details right. After verifying/updating them, please check again. It should work fine.
