General Settings generating blank page, firebug says its 500 internal error.

    Greetings.

    While accessing the general settings of all in one seo, a blank page ( no content at all ) is generated and firebug says 500 internal error. I have been messing around with social meta but deactivating it does not help me.

    is there a log I could look into?

    would a total clean reinstall help. and how would one do this? deleting the plugin then reinstalling shows previous settings and the same bug.

    If I need to provide other information please inform me where and what.

    “500 internal error” is a generic webserver error; sometimes this can be caused by PHP running into a server memory limit, but it could be any number of things. I’d suggest temporarily turning on WP_DEBUG and see if that gives you some more verbose error reporting.

    Fatal error: Class ‘DOMDocument’ not found in /var/www/html/blog/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/aioseop_module_class.php on line 239

    fixed it with this

    yum install php-xml

    Thanks for following up! I’ll see if it’s feasible in the future to have a fallback or at least a better message for people who don’t have dom / xml support installed here.

    Turning on the debug on wordpress is basic knowledge I should have had and I apologize for that.

    Yeah would be helpful for the page to load but show missing plugin or something…
