General Site Speed issue

  • Can someone give me some advice on next steps for speeding up my site. I am posting here because when I go on Pingdom.com I get an A performance grade and everything looks good. However when I actually visit my home page, or other pages on my site they load super slow. This includes mobile. I used WP SMUSH pro on all my images. I have w3 total cache and I am currently using Page Cache, Disk enhanced. I have both object and browser cache on and am getting ready to get on a CDN. Under the HTML settings I also have inline CSS and JS minification. When I enabled javascript minify all was good. Can someone guide me on what I should be doing next?

  • Suggest that in your browser inspector you look at the “net” tab, it will show each of your website component files and how long they take to load, this will point you in the direction of where optimisation effort will be rewarded.
