I have wordpress site and installed woocommerce. I have both the simple products and variable products. Last day I have upgraded the woocomerce ( version 2.6.2). But since that day, i can’t see the ‘General tab’ for the variable products. I have also installed this latest woocomerce in a fresh wordpress, and here also i can’t see the General tab for the variable products. But it was on the old version. Seems it’s something new feature on the latest version. Right ? or anything wrong from my end? Appreciate your help on this. Please let us know asap.

We hide the general tab when is empty.
So don’t seems to be a problem.

Hi Claudio,

Thanks for the feedback. That means “General” tab will not display for the variable products at any case on the latest version (2.6.2), right? Is it a new feature?
Can you please confirm this again?

Variable products have no general options to configure, so this is normal.

Hi there.
I am a little bit confuse here.

Is “General” tab really not displaying anymore when we choose Variable Product?
Actually, I am going to use this extension :

But since the “General” tab is missing in variable product, how to achieve it?

PS : I’ve already post a support ticket but still didn’t get any answer. I just try to get the answer as soon as possible.

General only shows if it contains options.

I am having same issue. (Not sure if required to open new thread for it, so adding here)

Changed the product to Variable, now it is not allowing me to add price to it.

It is valid error as regular price is required.
