General tab won’t load

Apparently REST API is enabled: https://terriz.com/suemarie/wp-json

I think this is how you test that? According to Google ??

FYI I also deactivated and deleted this plugin and then re-installed it. And restored a database backup from a few days ago. All with no success ??

Also – it successfully updated the site to WP 4.9.3 and then 4.9.4 in recent days, maybe there’s just something wrong with my General Tab ??

The general tab also won’t load in one of our sites. WP Cerber reported the plugin was trying to access the REST API which was blocked for security reasons (it’s a members-only site).

Is there a way for you not to use REST? WP currently has no REST user authentication as far as I know.

We’d have to switch back to using admin-ajax. Which I’d prefer not to as the rest api is now built into standard WordPress since 4.7.

Rest when built correctly has cookie based authentication, which we’re using.

It should be user based (registered and logged in) in the case of our websites.

What namespace does your plugin use so that I could try to white list the plugin? Worst case is we have to find an alternative.

I asked the UpDraft team if they want to use admin-ajax.php instead. It’s not my call at the moment.

Sorry that didn’t work. I meant to say the REST API namespace you used for the plugin, if you have that info. It’s what WP Cerber recommends Specify REST API namespaces to be allowed if REST API is disabled. and it’s the best option for us (to white list the plugin) rather than allowing REST for all logged in users.

We may switch back to admin-ajax. Too many pronlems with rest right now. Expect a fix this weekend sometime.

Please note my problem with https://terriz.com/suemarie/ is fixed after migrating it to another location. I think my problem was something on my install, not with EUM.

Thank for looking into it though, you helped nudge me to move the site anyway!
