My Shop: The Woocommerce shop sells products.

    The Goal:

Each buyer receives a “PDF certificate” when ORDER status is updated to COMPLETED.

The PDF certificate is dynamically populated with the ORDER details using shortcodes.

  • Hi @firebride

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you would like to generate PDF certificates that will be dynamically populated when the order is set to Completed, correct?

While this can be achieved thru the use of some third-party plugins and customization, could you please provide additional details about the PDF certificate that will be generated for us to point you in the right direction? What will the PDF certificate include, etc?

If a screenshot would be helpful, I’d recommend using https://snipboard.io or https://skitch.com/. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

    Thank you

Correct, by default an Woocommerce notification is sent out once the status of the order is set to COMPLETED.

The notification email should have in the body the pdf certificate download link.

The pdf is a template dynamically populated with ORDER details of that specific ORDER. The same template is used on every ORDER, but the details of the ORDER is specific to that order.

I assume that <shortcodes> will be used.

    See attached.

    Your thoughts?

    Hello @firebride,

    Thank you for the clarification!

I found this extension in our store but seems like it only attaches pre-selected files.

I did some digging and seems like there’s a ready-to-use hook for email attachments woocommerce_email_attachments .

You can take some inspiration from this StackOverflow question to customize the attachment.

If you need more help with this, you can get in touch with a WooExpert as custom solutions are not within our scope of support.

    Hope this helps!
