I need the file name to be entirely updated from the prefix input field.

I need to use a text field for input from the user, this input to be included in the file name to be uploaded. Both prefix check boxes checked.

example: text field for image name, using identifier: IMN1, added in [~IMN1] in the prefix field, this does not pull through correctly, it just shows: IMN1 in the file name, instead of the image file name added in the Image Name input filed.

Can you please tell me how to bring in a custom text field via the prefix facility.

    Many thanks.

I’m very sorry, but that cannot be done within EntryWizard.

The main reason is security: a free-form field entered by the user would be very difficult to handle accurately and safely if used in a filename.

As I understand it, if not expertly handled, this sort of input can potentially be used to hack into web sites, or even into the computer of the person doing the downloading. I don’t have the knowledge to take such a responsibility.

If you really have to make use of software that requires such information in the filename, you should probably look for a renaming application that could be used after your download.
