    Hi all,

I have a webshop that sells products to customers in Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, and Denmark. Those countries are members of the Eurozone, thus their official currency is EUR. The shipping fee is free.

The excluded tax prices is equal for those countries, except the standard VAT rates varies per country:

    • Netherlands = 21%
    • Germany = 19%
    • Belgium = 21%
    • Luxembourg = 17%
    • France = 20%
    • Denmark = 25%

Can just upload one ProductsFeed.xml to Merchant Center. And then manually adjust the VAT rates for each country in the settings of Merchant Center?

Or do I have to generate 6 different ProductsFeed.xml for each targeting country? If yes, how can I set the VAT rate of each country in WP Product Feed Manager or Google Merchant Center?

Because eventually, I don’t want Google Shopping to show the wrong (included tax) price of my products for the mentioned targeting countries.

    Best regards,
    Konijntje

    Hallo Konijntje.

Thank you for using our plugin and your great question.
Google guidelines will prefer you have setup the VAT settings in the Merchant center self.

Make sure your price in the product feed will reflect the price on the landing page so if you have different country landing pages make sure the price is the same as in the product feed.

That would probably mean you will have different feeds for different countries.

Let me know if that helped you make an educated decision.

    Hello @aukejomm,

    Thanks for your reply!

According to the guidelines of Google Merchant Center, the VAT settings are only meant for the United States and Canada. For European countries, I must provide the product price including VAT. See https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/7052209. Or am I missing something?

I was thinking about the following solution:
I go to WooCommerce > Settings > Tax > Tax options. Then I choose ‘I will enter prices exclusive of tax’ and ‘Display the prices in the shop: including tax’.

Finally, I create different feeds for different countries with ‘add tax rate to price’ see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78Tb2-VXkE0

    Is this a good solution?

You are correct @konijntje you should use prices including tax.
In the source dropdown in your feed manager, you can select besides the Regular price also the Price excluding tax or Including tax.

Nevertheless, the way you have solved it will also work as you are working with the price excluding tax and you can create product feeds for each country and add the tax to each price.
