    However, 2% reduction is barely anything, and I’m not sure it’s possible to minify admin-ajax.php.

    I would focus more on the speed of your website over anything else.

    Good tips; am going to resize logo and try queery string plugin. On another point, I believe the PRO version allows me to make header height narrower? If so .. going for pro with its other good options;

    The pro version has header padding options so you can reduce the amount of white space around your image.
