Generate Static Files does not work with Go Daddy managed wordpress

  • I deployed a wordpress template to Go Daddy Managed WordPress and need to export the site as static html so I can give functionality to it as I do not know WordPress well. I downloaded the Simply Static plug-in, configured the settings such that all things passed in the diagnostics page but when I click on Generate Static files, it simply greys out for a few seconds then turns back purple. The de-bug log looks like this ONLY:

    [2021-09-23 19:35:19] [class-ss-plugin.php:260] Received request to start generating a static archive

    Nothing ever happens past this.

    I have teh same problem. I’m pretty sure it’s the godadddy managed hosting causing the problem.
