    Hi velocity,

I must say this plugin boosted my GTmetrix from C to A, etc, etc.

However, there’s an issue whenever I do a backup of my wp-content.
Ok, whenever I click the [FVM PURGE] button, instead to clear it, it automatically generated 2 extra folders every time in the upload/cache after purging it?

My site is about 46MB, now keep going higher to 136MB… The only way to clear it, is manually delete each those generated folders per HOSTING TECH GUY WAS SAYING.

Is there’s a way to fix it NOT to generate 2 folders every time? Perhaps, some kind of settings I should click or not click?!!!

    Please advice help,
    Thanks

  • I think these folders are temporal to prevent old cache go to 404, and autodelete after months, but yes i think is a lot of time

Hi, I have been busy lately, sorry about the late reply.

The new folders are for the files being generated after your last cache purge.
However, the old cache purge files will stay on the server and be deleted sometime later by a cronjob.

This is to prevent a situation when your hosting refuses to clear the page cache after FVM deletes the JS/CSS files. If it would delete them immediately, it would result in 404 until your hosting page cache expires.

On FVM 3 I added an option to force the files to be purged instantly, so feel free to try it out.

    Thanks

Ya, It does accumulated 100KB +. purged big time using the cache manager. It works good at the end.

It sure makes my site much quicker.

    Thanks for creating this plugin.

    You rock big time.
