    Hi Kathryn, yes I worked around it by registering my own modified genericons.css in a child theme so marking this as resolved.

    However, even if this works well for my case, the fact remains that genericons.css included with the theme is not liked much by Pingdom. Not sure if the issue that Pingdom reports (“The request does not fit in a single packet.”) has real life significance at all but I was wondering if there was any good (lighter) alternative and if it will be considered for a future release of the theme.

    Just thinking out loud, not expecting an answer ??

    Until we have an official SVG replacement for Genericons I don’t foresee any changes to the theme. ??
