I have installed/activated Genesis Communities CPT Plugin which did not show-up in my WP dashboard with website (https://flpalmbeach.com). And I could not find how to access the plugin without the house icon and the word “communities”. I want to use this plugin on a page of my website.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling in WP and on godaddy: the plugin, my Genesis Sample Child Theme, and the Genesis Parent Framework. And the plugin still does not show-up in my WP dashboard.

Would you please help me figure out why the plugin does not show-up in my wp dashboard?
    My website is https://flpalmbeach.com
    Thank you for your time!
    Cecile

    Hi Cecile,
Sorry that the plugin is not working as expected. It might be due to a conflict with another plugin. To rule that out, would you please deactivate all other plugins and see if the icon shows in your WP Dashboard?

    Hi Jackie,
I deactivated all plugins including Communities and then activated Communities only. The plugin does not show up yet. What should I try next?

What version of Genesis and Genesis Sample are you using? I’d like to set up a test site to see if I can replicate the issue. You can activate your plugins in the meantime. It might take a day or two to test on my end but I will report back my findings here.

Thank you Jackie! I appreciate your help. I have Genesis Framework Version 2.5.3 and Genesis Sample Theme Version 2.3.0. Is there a work around… like putting the code for the Communities plugin straight onto my WordPress site? Thanks!

Are you comfortable editing one of the plugin files? Do you have FTP access to your site?

    Jackie,
I am willing to try it if I have step by step instructions. But also something weird just happened after I went into godaddy and cleared everything again with the plugins off. Suddenly a couple of minutes ago the communities plugin suddenly shows up… maybe 10 minutes after all the plugins have been added back. Now I am guessing that it might have been something wrong on godaddy.

Glad to hear that. Please let me know if anything changes. I’ll be updating the menu position for the WP dashboard of the plugin in the next release to reduce a chance of conflict. It might be that when you activated Community first, it was able to grab the available menu position.

    Thanks for reporting this.
