Genesis Enews Extended not sending out new post notification emails

I just purchased a new Genesis child theme – Modern Blogger Pro. I switched to this from a free WP theme. Everything worked fine on the old theme. Nothing seems to work on this theme; however, I am relatively new to WP so in all fairness, it could be user error. I just posted and none of my subscribers received a notification email. I was using “Email Subscribers” plugin but deactivated it and have enews activated. I also downloaded MailPoet Newsletters. I see all of my subscribers in MailPoet, they’re all on the same list. I sent a test email to myself and that was successful. I have no clue why it’s not working. Do you have to use a service like Mail Chimp? Maybe that’s the part I’m missing. Any thoughts? Thanks!
