This is by design. I’ve been asked to remove it by many admin because their users got confused. Honestly even a number admin seem to get confused on how to use it.
It is not necessary to manually enter lat/long in most cases as it will be geocoded automatically in the background during the submission process.
That said, the free geocoding provider can be hit or miss. So, I recommend setting up the Google Maps API. Here’s a link to a tutorial:
