    Hi there,

A small couple of issues with the plugin – geodetection does not work for me. It always chooses the default shop base OR the last selected country selector pulldown. Even after clearing cache/ browser restart – it always defaults to the last selected one.

I installed geoip on the page and a shortcode to display the detected country – that correctly shows the country you are coming from – tried using several proxies and it works every time .. Your plugin only seems to detect what was manually chosen last and not the new geo info.

I have tried diff geo settings in woocommerce – but to no avail.. any help would be fab thanks

Hi, the plugin uses the WooCommerce geolocation function so it’s a WooCommerce problem.
Check if geoip database is located in wp-content/uploads directory. You can check it in WooCommerce->system status page.

Wow fastest support response ever !! thankyou.

The geo files are indeed present.. the geolocation is set in woo.. and the green tick for maxmind is there ..

It just refuses to do anything other than the manual pulldown – and that manual setting is sticky between sessions !

    Any suggestions gratefully received ??

Hi @mrkuji, If you like my plugin and you want to help me, please leave me a ★★★★★ rating.

Hi, I’m having the same problem here.

The geoip database is there with the green check.
WooCommerce geolocation is set up as well.

I’m testing with about 20 different real users in different countries and “sometimes” the country loads correctly but once you go the shop page, the prices are displayed on the currency where the shop is located… All those users are logged out opening the site for the first time on a normal browser (some from desktop and some from mobile). It’s a bit pointless to test it with an incognito window as normal users don’t use an incognito window…

Do you know if there is that could be related to having a caching plugin?
    Any ideas whatsoever?

    Hi!
If you are using a cache plugin you should set Default customer address to geolocation with cache support

    https://woocommerce.wordpress.com/2015/07/02/making-geolocation-static-cache-friendly-in-2-4/

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I’ve changed it to geolocation with cache support. It seams to cache the main Categories (like Shoes, Socks, etc. I can see the v=xxx parameter, also in the home page) but not the sub-category product pages ??

    Any ideas?
    Thanks a lot

    Hi @ukinkalla
This issues are related with WooCommerce and your cache plugin, I can not support you for this issues.
Open a thread in WooCommerce forum or in your cache plugin support forum.

    Thank you.

    No worries, thanks a lot!
