• Hello,

first, I wish to congratulate you for this great plugin. I started using it for a short time and noticed that I cannot set the block visibility depending on the geographic location of the visitor. I think this would be an addition used my many webmasters, so would it be possible to add this function to the plugin?

    Hi @conquerortravel,

Geolocation would be a great addition, but would require Block Visibility to use geolocation APIs. These cost money and implementing them is outside the scope of this free plugin unfortunately.

That said, there are other visibility plugins like If-So that provide limited geolocation functionality in their free plugin (I think), and then more functionality in the Pro version of the plugin.

    I hope that helps.

    Best,
    Nick

Hi Nick, I believe this can be done with a free (or paid) MaxMind local database and no need for an API. The cost of the API is not even the biggest issue, but the external dependency and privacy issues of needing a 3rd party connection to operate are very undesirable for me. I have just played around with If-So. It has an impressive set of features, but some big gotchas, so I’m holding off for now.
